Draft notice: this is a starting-point draft, written to match how Pawlentine actually works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and placeholders like governing law/jurisdiction still need your input. Have it reviewed before relying on it for real App Store / Play Store submission or real users.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Pawlentine account or use the app. By using Pawlentine, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile and for keeping your account secure. Profiles must represent a real person — no fake profiles, impersonation, or catfishing.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and content you upload. By uploading them, you give Pawlentine a license to display that content within the app to other users as part of the normal product experience (e.g. showing your profile photos to potential matches).

4. Conduct

You agree not to:

Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Use the app for any commercial solicitation or spam
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
Upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, or violates another person's rights
Attempt to access another user's account or circumvent the app's security or matching logic

Violating these terms may result in your account being suspended or permanently removed, at our discretion.

5. Safety

Pawlentine helps you meet new people, but meeting anyone in person carries inherent risk. Take reasonable precautions: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and trust your judgment. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the app.

6. Premium subscriptions

Pawlentine offers optional premium features via subscription, billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your device's subscription settings before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective policies, not directly by Pawlentine.

7. Reporting and blocking

You can report or block any user. Reporting a user also blocks them immediately. We may review reports and take action, including suspending or removing accounts, at our discretion.

8. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a safety risk to other users.

9. Disclaimer

Pawlentine is provided "as is." We don't guarantee you'll find a match, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that other users' profiles are accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

TODO(Sunny): fill in the jurisdiction/governing law for your business entity before this goes live — this depends on where you're incorporated/operating from, which isn't something to guess at.
